The chilly temperature can easily slow you down, but you don't have to spend your entire winter in your blanket. There is always something for you to do in Spokane, so you better bundle up and head to the different winter activities the city offers.

Skiing and Snow Sports
What best way to spend the cold winter days but by skiing and enjoying snow sports? It's the best time of the year to grab your skis or board and head to one of the best ski resorts in the area. Make friends and memories as you ski down the trails and slopes of the mountain.

Wine Tasting in the Cork District
If you didn't know yet, Spokane has a rich and colorful wine scene. In fact, there are over 20 wineries in Spokane Cork District, as well as tasting rooms and wine cellars. Most of the participating Cork District Wineries are just a stone throw away from each other, so it would be ideal for taking a tour of these wineries. Spokane Cork District is the place to be if you want to experience award-winning wine made locally. Invite your friends and enjoy the vibrant wine scene in the city.

WestCoast Entertainment's Best of Broadway
Anyone looking for magical movie musicals should head to WCE Best of Broadway. The shows begin as the year closes and goes on until the spring. Make sure to buy tickets in advance and head to the First Interstate Center for the Arts for a night of sounds, lights, and fun that only a live show can bring.

Spokane Symphony
If you are into music, you would definitely appreciate the Spokane Symphony at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Historic Fox Theater. It happens every wintertime, so make sure you don't miss it this season. Check out their calendar of events and see their schedule of holiday music, classical, pop, and a lot more. There are special ballet performances of the classics, including the Tchaikovsky holiday standard and The Nutcracker.

Spokane International Film Festival 
This film festival is an annual event in Spokane. The festival aims to celebrate film lovers and filmmakers alike. It is a significant arts event held in an intimate venue where you can witness documentaries, short films, and feature films.

Ice Ribbon
The Ice Ribbon is part of Riverfront Park's renovation. Ice skating on the Ice Ribbon is one of the best ways to enjoy your time in the winter season. The Ice Ribbon in Spokane is the first and only one of its kind in the city, which makes the experience even more memorable. Bring your entire family and skate around the 650 feet of ice pathway and have a hot cup of cocoa from the SkyRink on breaks.

Inlander Restaurant Week
You get the most of the dining scene in Spokane at the Inlander Restaurant Week. Local restaurants in the region participate in this event by crafting three-course menus. Make sure to explore each participating restaurant's menus and bring your appetite for a sure filling evening.
